The Marrakchia Velvet Jacket 

Inspired by the warm, earthy tones of Marrakech, known as the 'Red City', this velvet jacket captures the essence of the city’s vibrant energy and architectural beauty. Crafted in high-quality pink velvet with a smooth satin lining, the piece features intricate brown silk embroidery that adds contrast, depth, and refined detail.

Drawing from traditional Moroccan kaftans, the relaxed fit and subtly flared sleeves offer both ease and elegance. Hand-knotted woven buttons allow the jacket to be worn open or closed, adapting effortlessly to different settings and moods.

What is maëtaï?

maëtaï is a platform celebrating independent brands and emerging artisans whose creations embody authenticity, craftsmanship and meaning.

We select makers who reveal fragments of our shared culture through colour, texture and form, transforming everyday objects into timeless pieces of art.

In a world dominated by mass brands, many independent creators stay unseen and people miss out on unique, inspiring work. maëtaï bridges that gap. We bring visibility to small artisans and designers, offering a space where individuality and creative freedom can shine.

From hand-woven textiles to sculptural jewellery, every piece carries a story of human connection, cultural heritage and creative independence.
We make accessible what you would normally discover by chance, during travels, in small ateliers, or at local markets, and bring it all together in one place, for everyone, everywhere.
How many brands are we working with ?

We collaborate with 7+ independent brands, and we add new creatives every month.
Why are the pieces ‘unique’?

Most of the items are crafted by hand in small batches, inside independent studios. When a piece sells out, it often doesn’t come back.
Is shipping really free?

Yes, free shipping on the entire site, no surprise fees at checkout.
How long does shipping take?

Orders usually ship within 48 hours to 5 working days, depending on the brand. Each creator prepares and sends the product directly.
And delivery times?

Most orders arrive in 5–10 business days, depending on your country and the creator.
Can I return my order?

Yes, we work with a 14-day return policy, giving you 14 days after delivery to request a return. However, since we partner with independent brands, each brand handles returns and refunds according to its own terms. 

To be eligible, items must be returned in the same condition as received, unused, with tags and original packaging. You will need your receipt or proof of purchase. Once the brand receives and inspects the item, we will notify you of their decision. If approved, refunds will be processed within 10 business days, but note your bank may take longer.
Are all items returnable?

Not always. Some pieces are marked as non-returnable in the brand’s description, usually because they are unique, handmade, or produced in very limited quantities.

Where do the products come from?

Our items are sourced from independent creators across Europe and beyond, including Italy, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and more.
Will all my items arrive together?

Not always. Because we work with multiple designers, your order may arrive in separate packages.

We keep our selection intentionally exclusive — focusing on creators who protect their craft, honour slow creation, and design pieces meant to be cherished, not consumed.
